Lack of forgiveness on a national level is as devastating as it is on an individual level. The lessons are everywhere to be seen. Bitter battles are being fought around the world as one nation lashes out against another and the other lashes back. The violence – along with the attending and emotional devastation – is perpetuated through endless decades and handed down for generations holding onto anger and rage. Walls are built up and habits of thinking become so deeply entrenched that forgiveness becomes an unthinkable concept. We are all cells in the same body of humanity. Like a drop that washes onto shore from the ocean, we separate from the whole yet we are still one. The ocean is our source, the shore our excursion into the physical world. That we are separate is an illusion. We are one with source, making our way home.
